Cleaner Type in Photoshop
The Problem
While laying out new website designs in Photoshop I came across some strangely formatted text. The “r” character would stick up above the x height (or median). In general the text looked very poor.

The Simple Solution
It turns out I inadvertantly (no idea how it happened) set the anti-aliasing method to “sharp”. The fix was to set it “crisp”. Very easy, but it took me a while to figure out.
